We are about six months into our use. We've tried all of them, of course we don't like the smell - the oat smell is the strongest, but, as I say, "pinch your nose with a paper clip" and that's the worst of it

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Bioagna fermented drinks are concentrated beverages made in Lithuania with good microorganism cultures and enzymes of plant origin. They are based on a multi-nutrient medium where good bacteria thrive, feed and multiply. With these deep fermentation products, probiotic food can be produced - dishes supplemented with good bacteria that act in the gut.

When you are stressed, tense, lack rest, take antibiotics or other medicines, or eat poorly, the good bacteria in your body react and can start to multiply more slowly and decrease in concentration. Bioagna products are concentrated drinks of good bacteria - lacto- and bifidobacteria - that replenish your gut microbiome. The bacteria in fermented good bacteria drinks are active and, once in the gut, they settle in the gut, multiply and maintain a medium that is inhospitable to pathogenic micro-organisms and fungi. Fermented good bacteria drinks have probiotic properties and fermented beetroot juice has probiotic and beetroot properties.

Good bacteria concentrated drinks can be added to both beverages and food: flavour cooked, cooled plant-based dishes such as soups, stews, porridges, pancakes, falafels, etc., or add to water, juices, compotes, and drink at mealtimes (when eating not available enriched with a concentrated drink of good bacteria). When added to cold foods - salads, mixed salads, pureed fruit desserts - if you have the time, you can leave the food to ferment a little.

The amount of good bacteria concentrated drink should be at least 1 teaspoon per portion of food or 1 teaspoon per glass of drink. The usual dose is 1 tablespoon per food portion. Any unpleasant sensations when consuming the good bacteria concentrated drink are related to the cleansing of the body. If this becomes uncomfortable, simply reduce the amount of concentrate, but always take it with each meal.

We recommend starting with a teaspoon diluted with water to a palatable acidity at each meal (on average 3 teaspoons per day). After a week, increase to 3 tablespoons.

There are two fundamental differences.

1.Unlike dry probiotics, live bacteria do not need to be protected in any way. Liquid bacteria in fermented drinks are LIVE and active cultures. This means that they can easily survive in the stomach acid (similar to the good bacteria in breast milk that form the microbiome of a newborn) and reach the intestine where they can be effective.

2.Fermented beverages rich in liquid good bacteria are not only rich in prebiotics, which keep the bacteria alive, but also postbiotics, which are particularly important for us. These include enzymes, organic acids, bacteriocins, vitamins, amino and fatty acids, etc. produced by good bacteria. These valuable substances make fermented drinks simply indispensable for our bodies.
Yes! Because live good bacteria drinks also contain enzymes produced by these bacteria, organic acids that can help break down animal proteins (meat, fish, cheese, eggs). And for survival, good bacteria will choose a side dish, as they only eat plant foods. However, for better health, it is always advisable to cut down on meat. For many reasons. But the main one is that we benefit most from food that sours and not from food that rots. Meat does not ferment. And for it not to rot, for it to be completely broken down by the body - down to its amino acids - requires perfect gastrointestinal function, which almost no one has now. Stresses, preservatives, antibiotics and other medicines. The undigested protein 'chains' of meat are broken down by putrefactive bacteria and fungi, which release toxic substances into the bloodstream. This leads to many ailments and premature ageing if liver function is a bit compromised.
The famous scientist I.Mechnikov wrote about it at the end of the 19th century.
Feed the good bacteria with unrefined plant foods and they will take up permanent residence in your gut, with the best possible consequences for your well-being.
